7th Annual LPPR – Pinhead Reunion
LPPR Returns to Caberfae Peaks, Michigan
The Pinhead community gathers again this winter for the 7th Annual LPPR at Caberfae Peaks. The event has become a signature Telemark weekend in the Midwest, bringing together skiers, friends, and families for two days of skiing, music, films, and good times.

A Growing Tradition in Michigan
Last year’s 6th Pinhead Reunion brought strong energy to the mountain. Skiers arrived from across Michigan and neighboring states. The program included open skiing, group laps, Telemark camaraderie, and a lively potluck that continued well into the evening.
Giveaways, film screenings, and relaxed meetups helped create a memorable atmosphere that kept the community coming back.
The 2026 edition builds on that spirit and offers another warm welcome to all freeheel skiers — beginners, long-time pinheads, and everyone in between.
What to Expect at the 7th Annual LPPR
This year’s program includes:
- Community events throughout the weekend
- Telemark films and mountain storytelling
- Potluck dinner — bring a dish and share the table
- Live music and evening gatherings
- Giveaways and small surprises from LPPR supporters
The reunion focuses on connection, simple mountain fun, and the shared love for freeheel skiing. There are no strict schedules. People ski together, hang out, and enjoy winter at their own pace.
Caberfae Peaks – A Perfect Pinhead Home
Caberfae Peaks is one of the oldest ski areas in the United States. Its wide slopes, traditional ski-area feel, and friendly terrain make it an ideal location for Telemark gatherings. The resort layout helps groups stay together, and the atmosphere stays relaxed and family-friendly.
The LPPR has deep roots here. Over the years, the event has grown into a staple of local Telemark culture, bringing life to mid-winter and celebrating the pure joy of dropping the knee.

The Pinhead Reunion is open to all. There are no participation barriers. Whether you come to ski all day or simply meet like-minded freeheelers, you will find a place in the group.
This is a weekend to reconnect, try new equipment, watch films, share a potluck plate, and enjoy classic Michigan Telemark energy.
