A Weekend of Telemark Skiing and Mountain Community

Bregenzer TeleWald combines time on the slopes with a welcoming social atmosphere. Previous editions brought participants together for telemark workshops, equipment testing and shared evenings at a mountain hut.

Traditionally, the weekend began with a Friday-evening gathering at a hut in Au. Skiers then headed to Warth–Schröcken on Saturday and Sunday, with activities centred around the Salober area.

Earlier programmes included piste skiing, freeriding, touring and equipment testing. In addition, shared meals and après-ski gatherings gave participants time to meet fellow telemark enthusiasts away from the slopes.

These activities describe the festival’s previous format. The organiser has not yet confirmed the complete programme for 2027.

Opportunities for Beginners and Experienced Skiers

Previous editions welcomed newcomers with introductory sessions and loan equipment. Meanwhile, more experienced telemark skiers could join workshops to develop their technique. Children also had opportunities to try freeheel skiing.

Accommodation and Registration

In previous years, participants could choose between complete weekend packages and individual services. Options included hut accommodation, meals, lift passes and courses, allowing skiers to arrange their weekend around their needs.
