365 days of snow fun - Hintertux Glacier Skiing and snowboarding season on the Hintertux Glacier just lasts longer. Even in spring and autumn, when the season elsewhere hasn’t even started or is already over, the Hintertux Glacier offers the best conditions with breathtaking views. On a range of slopes of up to 62 kilometers in winter and up to 20 kilometers in spring.

We recently received an invitation, and if you haven’t checked your inbox, we are happy to share this wonderful news with you. Good news from the team Freeheller.eu. 

As we enjoy the height of summer, it’s the perfect time to dream about hitting the slopes again. We’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s Freeheeler Campus at Hintertux, also known as FC24, which will be held from November 25th to 28th, 2024.

Event Overview

The FC24 Freeheeler Campus is organized by a dedicated team: Richard Schürf (Germany), Simon Everitt (UK), Alex Büttner (Germany), and John Eames (UK). This event is designed for freeheel skiing enthusiasts, whether you are a professional or a passionate recreational skier.

What’s in Store?

4 Days of Workshops and Sessions:

  • Dates: November 25-28, 2024
  • Format: On-snow workshops and evening sessions

Special Features:

  • The event will seamlessly connect with the Freeheeler European Opening and FIS Telemark races from November 29th to December 1st, making for an incredible week of freeheel skiing!

Who Should Attend?

  • Professionals: If you are a freeheel skiing professional, you’re invited to present workshops and share your expertise. You’ll engage with fellow professionals from across Europe, enhancing your own skills and knowledge while contributing to the community.
  • Recreational Skiers: Advanced non-professional skiers are welcome to join and participate in skill-enhancement workshops. This year, we are excited to include dedicated sessions for recreational skiers.

Event Highlights

Monday & Tuesday: Freeheeler Fundamentals – Skills & Teaching

  • Morning workshops focused on foundational skills and teaching techniques.
  • Afternoon “Freeheeler Forum” sessions for skill development and group discussions.

Wednesday & Thursday: Advanced Freeheeler Skills & Technique

  • In-depth workshops on advanced techniques, including piste performance, mogul skiing, and off-piste skills.
  • Afternoon sessions to discuss and compare advanced skills in a collaborative setting.

Evening Sessions:

  • Presentations by professionals covering various topics, such as recent expeditions, personal touring experiences, and the latest in freeheel skiing videos.

How to Get Involved

We invite you to join us as a participant or a presenter. Here’s how you can be part of FC24:

As a Presenter:

  • Lead workshops for professionals and recreational skiers.
  • Present at evening sessions.
  • Participate in “Develop Your Skills” sessions for advanced skiers.

As a Participant:

  • Attend and engage in the workshops.
  • Share your insights and experiences with other skiers.
  • Enjoy a week dedicated to enhancing your freeheel skiing skills.

Additional Information

Accommodation and Costs:

  • Presenters will have their half-board accommodation, lunch vouchers, and ski passes covered.
  • Non-presenting participants will have an attendance fee, accommodation, and ski pass costs.

Feedback and Improvements:

  • Based on feedback from last year’s event, we have introduced dedicated workshops for recreational skiers, “Freeheeler Forum” sessions for in-depth discussions, and a centralized meeting area at Tuxerfernerhaus.
